Behavioral Healthcare Techs​

STC Gerry House, a pioneer in substance abuse recovery since 1990, is seeking compassionate, ethical Behavioral Healthcare Techs (BHT). Join our team to make a real difference in the lives of substance abusers and help build a stronger, healthier community. As a BHT, you'll implement treatment plans, document client behavior and medications, create a safe environment, and assist with therapeutic and recreational activities. Essential skills include strong interpersonal and observational abilities, physical stamina, and coordination.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Complete intake forms, facility orientation, and program rules for clients, and assist with aftercare planning.

  • Conduct intake and admission duties under supervision.

  • Assess client needs and ensure vocational and legal needs are met; organize and facilitate necessary paperwork.

  • Interact with court and probation, assist clients with appointments, and arrange transportation.

  • Monitor client finances and compliance with money protocols.

  • Maintain progress notes, reports, discharge summaries, and clinical case records.

  • Supervise facility upkeep, safety, cleanliness, hygiene standards, and client confidentiality.

  • Facilitate patient education groups as assigned.

  • Complete all required reports and documentation accurately and timely.

  • Monitor client schedules and activities, conduct rounds, and account for each client.

  • Answer phones, direct calls, and shop for house supplies as directed.

  • Maintain confidentiality of care information and adhere to professional ethics.

  • Communicate clearly with clients, staff, supervisors, and families.

  • Demonstrate respect for cultural competency and understand 12-step program concepts.

  • Communicate observations and shift activities, conduct house searches, and drug testing, and provide crisis intervention.

  • Attend required staff training.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must hold current DHCS-recognized registration or certification for alcohol and drug counselors in California, and meet educational requirements.

  • Preferred: At least two years of counseling experience.

  • One year of direct service experience with substance-abusing populations or equivalent field placement.

  • Ability to supervise, guide, and counsel adult clients, maintain case management, and participate in program activities.

  • Engaged, service-oriented professional capable of individual collaboration.

  • Flexible hours availability, including evenings and weekends.

  • Proven relationship-building skills for effective collaboration and partnerships.

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships at all levels, both internal and external.

  • Valid driver's license required.


COMPENSATION: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour (competency-based) 

  • Quarterly Merit Bonus after the development stage.

​​​Hiring Information Technology Help Desk Technician

Job Types: Part-Time, 20 Hours

Seeking a compassionate IT Help Desk Technician to join our team and work in a supportive environment alongside mental health professionals. As an IT Help Desk Technician, you will provide technical assistance with computer systems, hardware, and software, respond to queries, diagnose issues, and implement solutions. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for helping others.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Maintain and support the organization's technological infrastructure, including phones, printers, computers, operating systems, network systems, and other hardware.

  • Configure, install, and deploy new technology solutions, including software, applications, computer hardware, desktops, operating systems, and peripheral devices.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across various devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, and office copiers.

  • Repurpose and redeploy existing laptops and desktops to maximize resources.

  • Provide user support and training on Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and other technology tools, ensuring best practices are followed.

  • Troubleshoot and manage issues related to Windows 8, 10/11, Windows 2016 Server, Active Directory, DNS, and network switches and routers.

  • Administer user accounts, security groups, distribution groups, and permissions within Active Directory, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, and password resets.

  • Configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP settings on the network.

  • Oversee and maintain IT systems, including Microsoft servers, networks, firewalls, information security systems, and other nonprofit technology services.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including hardware and software inventory, licensing, network diagrams, security protocols, and IT policies.

  • Develop and implement security protocols to protect organizational assets and ensure the integrity of IT systems.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT or related fields.

  • Proven experience in managing computer hardware, network infrastructure, IT security, and implementing industry best practices.

  • Proficient in technologies such as DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, IPv4/6, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, WAN, VMware, and Windows Server 2016 or newer.

  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including switches and routers, as well as expertise in computer hardware maintenance.

  • Familiarity with VOIP phone systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Salesforce (preferred).

  • Demonstrated self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative.

  • Ability to travel locally up to 25% of the time with reliable transportation.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the DOJ and FBI.


COMPENSATION: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour (competency-based) â€‹
